Glossary
Attachment Any external file which is attached to your Truereq Requirements Tree
Comment A comment, posted by any user in the comments window, relating to any item in the Tree.
Executive Dashboard A representational overview of your Workspace, indicating how many requirements and issues are in each phase of a product.
Folder A container for other items, used to organize items in your Tree.
Gatekeeper A user who must sign off on a given part of a phase.
Group An organizational structure for users. For example, a group could represent a department.
Issue An item added to the Tree which is used to highlight an open question about a product or requirement
Named Users Users in your Workspace who are either Administrator or Normal users. Guest users do not count toward your total number of Named Users.
Notification A message sent to the owners of phases and issues, and to gatekeepers. Users receive a notification when the phase, issue, or sign-off is first created, when/if it is changed, and at specific points during the item's lifecycle.
Owner The user who creates an item is automatically assigned ownership of that item, but can assign this role to someone else. Owners are allowed full editing privileges for an item, and are allowed to create and manage the phases and sign-offs for a given product, requirement or issue. Only the owner of a phase can mark that phase as complete.
Phase The series of steps, from start to end date, which all products, requirements, and issues go through. The possible statuses for a phase are Upcoming, In Progress, Pending, Due, Overdue, or Complete.
Phase List The list of phases, tailored for each Workspace and set up by an Administrator, which shows the steps a company's products, requirements, and issues will go through.
Ranking An item added to the Tree
which allows you to set up a list of products, requirements, or issues, and compare how different users rank them in order of importance.
Ranking Criteria The list of criteria, tailored for each Workspace, which users will use when ranking items in the Tree.
Requirements Tree The backbone of Truereq, in a hierarchical representation of your information. All users in a given Workspace see the same Tree.
Survey A Truereq tool which lets
users create and administer surveys to anyone who can get on the web.
Sign-off A sign-off which is added to a phase. Multiple sign-offs can be added to one phase, and all sign-offs for a given phase must be completed before the phase can be marked as compete.
User Any person using the Truereq Workspace.
Webform A Truereq tool which lets users create a
web page where anyone can who can get on the web can fill in product or requirement information
Workspace Where your product requirement information is stored. The space you work in when using Truereq.
